Isabella Bank partnership supports future arena, events at Mid Michigan College
Mid Michigan College’s new Morey Event Center is gaining momentum with a major early commitment from a familiar local partner. The investment will help shape a new on-campus space designed for athletics, student milestones, and community gatherings—marking a significant step forward for the college and the region.

What’s Happening: Mid Michigan College announced a $500,000 gift from Isabella Bank to name the Isabella Bank Arena, located within the new Morey Event Center on Mid Michigan College’s Mt. Pleasant campus. According to the College, Isabella Bank is among the first organizations to commit financial support to the project.
Construction of the Mid Michigan College event center is currently underway, with the Isabella Bank Arena expected to open in late 2026.
What the New Events Center Will Host: The new Morey Event Center on Mid Michigan College’s Mt. Pleasant campus will be a home for Lake Athletics. Additionally, the Isabella Bank Arena will host Mid Michigan College commencement ceremonies (currently being held at Clare High School), giving students and families to celebrate milestones on campus for the first time. The Morey Event Center will also become a space for community events to bring students, families, and residents together.

Additional Impact: According to Mid Michigan College, the Morey Event Center has also garnered additional philanthropic support from community partners and foundations, reflecting broad enthusiasm for the project’s impact on education, athletics, economic development, and quality of life.
