Local a capella singing group turns to the public to join the chorus
The MountainTown Singers have put out a call to the community members ages 10 and older to join the MountainTown Family Chorus. There are four Family Chorus seasons throughout the year, and singers can join one or all four. The first season opens with weekly rehearsals beginning Thursday, March 5, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Flextech High in Shepherd and a concert scheduled for Sunday, April 19.
Festival of Banners now taking submissions
Art Reach of Mid Michigan has opened up submissions for the annual Festival of Banners, which invites the community to submit their designs for the more than 300 banners that will don the street poles of Mt. Pleasant and its surrounding communities.
