4th Annual “Drive Out Hunger” Golf Outing

Friday, May 1 at 8 a.m. at Pohl Cat Golf Course

Murder Mystery 2026: The Great Gallery Grab

Friday, May 1 from 5 – 9 p.m. at Mid Michigan College’s Mt. Pleasant Campus

Art Reach of Mid Michigan is hosting its annual Murder Mystery fundraiser, The Great Gallery Grab, on May 1 at the Mid Michigan College Community Room. Guests will enjoy an interactive art heist–themed experience featuring dinner from Mountain Town Station, drinks, and a silent auction while working to solve the mystery. Proceeds support Art Reach programs that inspire creativity and community connection. Tickets can be purchased here.

CMU School of Music Events 

Ongoing throughout May at Staples Family Concert Hall on CMU’s Campus

Mother’s Day Food Truck & Shop

Saturday, May 2 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Mid Michigan Insurance Agency in Mt. Pleasant 

Shop a wide variety of local makers and businesses just in time for Mother’s Day while enjoying food trucks, live music, and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere at this Mt. Pleasant event. The market features over 40 vendors offering handmade goods, gifts, and more—with all proceeds benefiting Karma Kat Cafe & Rescue. CFX Salute to Working Women by Graff of Mt. Pleasant

Monday, May 4 at 4:30 p.m. at Comfort Inn Suites and Conference Center

The 2026 CFX Salute to Working Women is a free, 21+ celebration featuring music, a photo booth, complimentary food, and prize giveaways throughout the evening. Presented by Graff Mt. Pleasant, the Mt. Pleasant event highlights the announcement of the Woman of the Year, with the winner and runners-up receiving a variety of awards and gifts. Guests can also connect with local businesses, participate in a 50/50 raffle, and enter to win prizes including cash and a travel experience.

Daybreak Mt. Pleasant: Small Business Expo

Tuesday, May 12 from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at Holiday Inn and Suites Mt. Pleasant

Join the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce for the annual Small Business Expo, a morning dedicated to celebrating the innovation, services, and entrepreneurial spirit of our local community. Attendees will connect with small business owners, explore exhibitor booths, and gain insight from a dynamic panel of established leaders sharing their experience and expertise. Chippewa Valley Audubon Club May Presentation

Wednesday, May 13 at 7 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Library

On May 13, the Chippewa Valley Audubon Club will have David DeGraff present highlights of his 2020 investigation of the Pine River from Midland to its source in Mecosta. The Care Games 2026

Thursday, May 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Pohl Cat Golf Course
