Discovery Museum ramps up fundraising efforts to complete space exhibit

CMU’s Troutman Hall to undergo $4.9M renovation

The CMU Board of Trustees recently approved a $4.9 million transformation of Troutman residence hall, turning the four-person suites into two-person suites, and also outfitted with full-size beds. Work is expected to begin in Summer 2021 and to be completed in 2022.

Annual holiday gift box program lifts local businesses, Rotary Club of Mt. Pleasant at the same time

The Heart of Michigan Gift Box program from the Rotary Club of Mt. Pleasant is underway, supporting local businesses while raising funds to support the Rotary Club as well. Last year’s fundraiser sold more than 700 gift boxes of Michigan-made products, not only raising money for the Rotary Club but also generating over $11,000 for locally-owned small businesses.

CMU recognized for efforts to make earning a degree easier

Central Michigan University is being recognized by the Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers for its efforts in simplifying the transfer process for students who already possess an associate degree in arts or science, and for launching multi-semester registration.

Now, CMURC moves on to the next step in developing the SmartZone District: Finding a developer interested in making the conceptual design plan a reality.
