From spectacular Fourth of July fireworks and family-friendly community gatherings to live entertainment, outdoor experiences, and cultural celebrations, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy the season. Whether you’re looking to relax among blooming lavender fields, support local organizations, or make lasting memories with friends and family, these July events offer something for everyone.

Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular
Saturday, July 4 from 9 – 11 p.m. at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort
Join Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort for the annual fireworks spectacular. The show will begin around 9 p.m. or dusk, and viewers can expect a vibrant display of fireworks lasting up to two hours. There are multiple viewing locations local surrounding Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort such as Papa’s Pumpkin Patch, and New Life Church of Central Michigan.

Local Heroes Event by Explore Chiropractic
Wednesday, July 8 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Explore Chiropractic (913 E. Pickard St. in Mt. Pleasant)
Explore Chiropractic is hosting a Local Hero Event free to the community to celebrate its local heroes. The event will feature hot dogs, ice cream, and more—for free to attendees. The whole family is welcome to enjoy hands-on learning, exploration of these heroes and their vehicles that serve our community.

MMI Music in the Park
Thursdays, beginning July 9 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Island Park in Mt. Pleasant
Music in the Park outdoor concerts and activities continue through July (please note the event will pause for July 2, due to the holiday weekend, but resume for the remainder of July starting on the 9th). The events are free for all to attend, and feature food trucks, artist showcases, kids activities, and giveaways. Follow along their Facebook page for updates.

Evening Fest at Four Suns Farm Lavender
Friday, July 10 from 7 – 9:30 p.m. at Four Suns Farm Lavender (655 E. Pickard Rd. in Mt. Pleasant)
Spend a relaxing summer evening at Four Suns Farm surrounded by blooming lavender fields, live acoustic music, and beautiful sunset views. Guests will enjoy dinner from NOM NOM Ninja, two lavender mocktails, a fresh lavender bouquet, lavender cake pops, and a guided farm tour. The event also features artisan vendors showcasing local handmade goods. Tickets are $50 per person, and space is limited.

The Violet Family Takeover Drag Show
Saturday, July 11 at 7 p.m. at Valhalla Indoor Axe Throwing in Mt. Pleasant
Valhalla Indoor Axe Throwing is hosting the Violet Kings and Queens for another show in Mt. Pleasant on July 11. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the door in advance by calling Valhalla at 217-293-2293.

VHS Night at the Broadway Presents BATMAN (1989)
Saturday, July 11 at 8 p.m. at Broadway Theatre in downtown Mt. Pleasant
Join the Broadway Theatre for VHS screening of the 1989 classic, Batman. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased here. The screening will feature a variety of games, raffles, and more.

28th Annual Swinging for Scholarships Golf Outing
Wednesday, July 22 at 9 a.m. at Pohl Cat Golf Course in Mt. Pleasant
Member’s First Credit Union (MFCU) is hosting their annual Swinging for Scholarships golf outing at Pohl Cat. Proceeds from the outing support local students through MFCU’s scholarship fund. Each ticket includes 18 holes with a cart, lunch and dinner, two drink tickets, and entry into the contest holes throughout the event. Tickets are $135 per golfer or $540 for a team, and can be purchased here.

Murder Mystery Dinner in the Garden
Friday, July 24 at 6 p.m. at Camille’s Prime and Mountain Town Station in downtown Mt. Pleasant
Experience an evening of mystery, laughs, and audience participation at this interactive murder mystery dinner presented by Camille’s Prime and The Murder Mystery Co. Guests will help solve a wedding-day murder while enjoying an Italian pasta bar with customizable pasta, proteins, sauces, vegetables, salad, and breadsticks—all included with each $60 ticket. Arrive between 5:30 and 6 p.m. to enjoy dinner and drinks before the show begins promptly at 6:15 p.m., with an outdoor bar also available.

42nd Annual Saginaw Chippewa Pow Wow / Tribal Jiingtamok
Friday, July 24 – Sunday, July 26 at 7 p.m. (Friday), 1 p.m. (Saturday) and 12 p.m. (Sunday) at The Hill Campground (7525 E. Tomah Rd. in Mt. Pleasant)
Visit The Hill Campground to close out July and experience the 42nd annual Saginaw Chippewa Pow Wow / Tribal Jiingtamok. Attendees can expect to learn about cultural traditions through foods, arts and crafts, dancing, and stories. Event updates can be found on their website.
