CMU to build esports area, join national association for video game competitions

Video game competitions have grown in popularity and gained such a level of mainstream acceptance that they are now called esports. CMU has announced plans to join the National Association of Collegiate Esports and has plans to build a temporary esports and gaming area in the Student Activity Center this spring with a more permanent location expected to follow.
