Creation Coffee began as a wholesale and subscription coffee company before opening its first brick-and-mortar location in Midland in 2020. Now, the business is expanding and opening two new stores, one in Saginaw and another in Mt. Pleasant.

Creation Coffee uses ethically-sourced, high-quality coffees that are in the top 5% of the world. The company offers seasonal, single-origin coffees as well as blends such as Ten Generation which are available year-round.

Co-founder Jacob Spence says their mission is to connect with the community and engage with people, as well as create exceptional coffee.

“We started this company because myself and my business partner Ben had this life-changing cup of coffee,” Spence says. “That started a journey and a mission for us to be able to share life-changing, quality coffee with the world and with people that we care about.”

Located in the former Chemical Bank at 914 E. Pickard Rd., Creation Coffee plans to open its Mt. Pleasant location in late January to early February 2022.

A drive-thru will be available and the menu includes grab-and-go food, sandwiches, and specialty coffees with a new seasonal drink each month. Creation Coffee would like to incorporate a donut lane into its drive-thru since the building was previously a bank. Customers would be able to purchase donuts using the same tube carrier system banks use.
