Coming December 2021, Broadway Lofts will officially be open to the Mt. Pleasant community. Located at 410 W. Broadway St., Broadway Lofts overlooks Mt. Pleasant City Hall, shops, and restaurants downtown.

Broadway Lofts was originally set to open in October, but experienced a delay in supplies and the components to complete the roughly 10,000 square-foot grocery store located on the building’s main floor.

“We have worked with GreenTree for a number of years on various potential developments, so we are excited at the prospect of being able to retain a grocery store in our downtown,” says William Mrdeza, community services and economic development director for the City of Mt. Pleasant. “It’s another opportunity for folks to visit the downtown both during the day and after hours because they are open late into the night as well.”

At Broadway Lofts, future tenants can choose to live in a studio with one bath, a one bedroom with one bath, or a two bedroom with one bath apartment. Each apartment comes equipped with an in-unit washer and dryer, air conditioning, dishwasher, granite countertops, microwave, refrigerator, and garbage disposal.

“The other benefit that we see for the Broadway Lofts project besides it being a great addition to the downtown because of its construction and its architecture as a downtown type of building is the fact that we are bringing 48 new housing units,” Mrdeza says.

For $25 for six months, tenants will need to purchase an overnight parking permit, so that they are able to park in the lot behind City Hall or the lot across from Broadway Lofts. The parking lot behind the apartment site is primarily reserved for GreenTree Cooperative Grocery only.

Currently, Broadway Lofts is leasing any of the three floor plans. Anyone that is interested can contact (989) 572-0220 or manager@broadwayloftsmi.com.
