Art Reach celebrates 45 years of creativity with free community events
Art Reach of Mid Michigan celebrates 45 years of classes, public art initiatives, gallery exhibitions, and community events designed to make the arts accessible to all.

What’s Happening: To celebrate 45 years of impact and inspiring creativity, connection, and community, Art Reach of Mid Michigan is hosting a series of free, drop-in events in downtown Mt. Pleasant.
What They’re Saying: “Reaching 45 years is a testament to the power of community and creativity,” says Amy Powell, executive director of Art Reach of Mid Michigan. “Art Reach has always been about making the arts accessible to everyone, and it’s incredible to see how that mission continues to grow and evolve.”
How They’re Celebrating: A special gallery exhibition featuring highlights from Art Reach of Mid Michigan’s history—showcasing artists, programs, and milestone moments—will be on display through April 23 at 111 E. Broadway Street in Mt. Pleasant.
In addition to the exhibition, two events are open to the public to attend at Art Reach:
- Saturday, April 18 from 12 to 2 p.m. – Cake & Crafts celebration offers hands-on art activities and sweet treats in a family friendly setting.
- Thursday, April 23 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. – A Cocktail Hour concludes the celebration for the anniversary exhibition, allowing an opportunity to reflect, gather, and connect.
Additional Event Information: All 45th anniversary celebratory events are free and open to the public. No pre-registration is required. Guests are encouraged to take part at their own pace exploring the exhibition and participating in festivities—including an interactive piece in the Morey Family Gallery.
