Pleasant Craft Beer Festival to outdoor concerts, celebrations, markets, and family-friendly events happening throughout the month. There’s something for everyone to enjoy this June.

Fighting for Our Children’s Future Conversation on Climate Change

Monday, June 1 at 7 p.m. at Art Reach of Mid Michigan in downtown Mt. Pleasant

Join author and pediatrician Debra Hendrickson as she discusses her work in The Air They Breathe; which explores how climate change is increasingly harming children’s health through extreme heat, wildfire smoke, hurricanes, pollution, and disease outbreaks. Hendrickson combines real patient stories with medical insight to show why children are especially vulnerable to environmental changes.

MMI’s Music in the Park Summer Concert Series

Thursdays from June 4 through July 30 at 5:30 p.m. at Island Park in Mt. Pleasant

The Music in the Park Summer Concert Series returns in June, offering a free community event focused on music, inclusion, and local support. Presented by MMI and The EyeSite, the weekly series features outdoor live music performances at the Island Park amphitheater along with local artists showcasing and selling their work to benefit MMI and other non-profit organizations. Families can also enjoy weekly kids activities, pet adoptions through HATS, and community outreach from organizations including Hopewell Ranch, Michigan Alliance for Families, and Listening Ear

12th Annual Mt. Pleasant Craft Beer Festival

Saturday, June 6 from 4 – 9 p.m. in the Town Center of downtown Mt. Pleasant

The annual Mt. Pleasant Craft Beer Festival returns June 6, bringing together Michigan craft beer, cider, seltzer, and wine vendors for an evening fundraiser benefiting local nonprofits. Hosted by the Mt. Pleasant Jaycees, the event has raised more than $300,000 for community organizations since 2014. Festival admission runs from 4–9 p.m. and is open to guests 21 and older. Tickets include entry, a commemorative tasting glass, and 10 drink tickets.

Central Michigan Mayhem Roller Derby

Saturday, June 6 at 6 p.m. at Pins Bar and Grille in Ithaca

Join Central Michigan Mayhem for their final bout of the 2025-26 season at Pine Bar and Grille as they host Traverse City. They dedicate this season to their families, friends, fans and followers. Tickets are available online or at the door for a small upcharge.

Zoo in the Park

Friday, June 12 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Island Park 

The Isabella County Child Advocacy Center will host Zoo in the Park 2026 on June 12 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Island Park in Mt. Pleasant. The free community event will include pony rides, games, food, and activities for families and children. Make sure to follow the event page for updates.

Mt. Pleasant Farmers’ Market

Thursdays 7:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Island Park and Saturdays (beginning June 13) from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Town Center in downtown Mt. Pleasant

The Farmers Market is back for the summer—with new Saturday evening hours! Join vendors on Thursdays or Saturdays (beginning June 13) for a wide range of products from hand-baked goods, to homegrown fruits and veggies, and even fresh meat. Each market day will feature a few food trucks for shoppers. Follow the Market on Facebook for updated vendors and food truck options each day.

48th Annual CMU Surplus Auction

Saturday, June 20 at 9 a.m. at 275 W. Bellows Street in Mt. Pleasant

Bargain hunters and collectors can explore a wide variety of items during the annual CMU Surplus Auction. Conducted by Pioneer Auction Service, LLC, the auction will feature multiple auction rings with bidding beginning after morning item previews. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to register, inspect items, and prepare for a day of competitive bidding on surplus goods sold as-is.

Four Suns Farm Lavender Festival

Saturday, June 27 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Four Suns Lavender Farm at 655 E. Pickard Road in Mt. Pleasant

Celebrate the beauty of summer at the first-ever Lavender Festival on June 27. The event will feature U-cut lavender, artisan vendors, live music, yoga, workshops, family-friendly activities, and local food in a relaxed farm setting. Admission is free for children with a paying adult, while workshop and yoga spaces are limited and advance registration is encouraged.
