As the holiday season increases demand, United Way of Gratiot & Isabella Counties’ online volunteer platform simplifies connecting local nonprofits with community members eager to help. Since launching in 2022, over 2,600 volunteers have filled more than 3,000 positions, with the platform enabling nonprofits to post needs and community members to sign up with ease.

Throughout May in Isabella County, the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation and United Way are partnering for supply collection drives to aid families. The Mt. Pleasant community is gearing up for Greek Week, a collaborative effort between Central Michigan University (CMU) and United Way, benefiting local nonprofits. This year's focus is on the B#4 Foundation, promoting mental health awareness. With various events such as fundraisers, service activities, and a mock-rock competition, Greek Week aims to raise funds while fostering community engagement.
Thanks to the annual United Way of Gratiot & Isabella Counties Stuff the Bus campaign, this year over 500 elementary classrooms throughout Isabella and Gratiot counties will be receiving gift cards over the next two weeks, along with a goody bag for their classrooms that includes basic supplies such as scissors or crayons.
Recently awarded with 2023’s The Good Prize from United Way, Angie Evans has easily become a household name in Mt. Pleasant. We hear her on the radio, see her volunteering with numerous organizations across town, and benefit from the passion she gives to growing our community.
